Never Look Triangle Pass

Aug. 17, 2020 at 2:31 p.m. MDT

"Never Look Triangle Pass" challenges players to focus on moving the puck without telegraphing. In the drill groups of 3-4 players move the puck to each other as they move around on the edge of the circle. Players are prompted to not look where they are passing and challenged to add fakes and pumps to eliminate predictable passes.

Teaching Points

Giver: Lookaways, deceptive passing from all points around the body not just the sweet spot on the forehand, timing with the receiver.

Receiver: Keep belly position towards the puck, hands are pressed in front of the body to allow for easy reception, anticipate where players will move the

puck to once they receive it, pior to receiving it.
