"Feedlot Shot" is an extremely fun shooting drill for players. The shooter positions themselves in the slot. They face one of the three piles, calll for the puck, receive pass and quick release. Player then spins to a new pile for the next shot. After shooting six pucks from the various piles the players all rotate. Passes can come from any pile in any order as determined by the shooter.

Teaching Points

Shooter: Puck ready with stick on the ice, call for the puck using the voice and avoiding slapping their sticks. Spin quickly and keep stick pressure. Shoot without striding and stay static in a small area versus over skating.
