Goaltender Rapid Recovery

"Goaltender Rapid Recovery" is an excellent choice for all levels. A coach or designate shooter starts with five pucks around the the hash mark area. The goaltender makes a ghost save, recovers and then plays a real shot which is focused on the area they are working on. The ghost saves in this sequence are: Butterfly, Left Side Butterfly, Right Side Butterfly, Poke Check, and On Your Butt. Repeat the sequence based upon time availability.


Teaching Points

The shooters need to wait until the goalie is almost set to shoot. The shooter should also work on quick release shots.
